At least 10 Palestinians, including children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a school sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis, Gaza, local health authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

Strike Targets Displaced Civilians
The school, located in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, was being used as a shelter by families fleeing earlier bombardments. The attack has drawn fresh concern from humanitarian groups as civilian infrastructure continues to be hit in the ongoing conflict.
According to residents, the Israeli military had dropped leaflets in the area a day earlier, warning civilians to evacuate westward in preparation for new military operations against Hamas and other groups.
Escalation in Khan Younis
Following the warnings, Israeli forces intensified airstrikes and tank shelling across Khan Younis. Local sources said that homes, public buildings, and temporary shelters were all targeted in what appeared to be a renewed ground offensive in the area.
Rising Civilian Toll
Health authorities in Gaza have repeatedly warned that hospitals and shelters are overwhelmed amid constant strikes. Thousands of civilians remain displaced across the strip, many without access to clean water, food, or medical care.
International aid agencies have called for an immediate ceasefire and access to humanitarian corridors.
