President Asif Ali Zardari Urges Stronger Pak-Russia Trade and Investment Ties

President Asif Ali Zardari has called for deeper economic, technological, and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Russia, marking a renewed push to strengthen bilateral relations.

Speaking at a special ceremony in Islamabad to celebrate Russia’s 35th National Day, President Zardari emphasized the need to maximize trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges with Russia. He highlighted the growing potential of bilateral ties and stressed the importance of building lasting partnerships.

Shared Vision for Growth
Zardari noted that high-level engagements between Islamabad and Moscow have laid a strong foundation for mutual understanding. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to deepen cooperation not just in economic areas but also in technological innovation and global diplomacy.

Strengthening Regional and Global Collaboration
The President praised ongoing coordination between Pakistan and Russia on international platforms, expressing confidence that the friendship between the two countries will continue to grow stronger. “Let us reaffirm our commitment to build bridges of understanding,” he said.

Greetings to Russian Leadership
On behalf of the Pakistani nation, President Zardari extended heartfelt congratulations to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ambassador Albert Khorev, and the Russian people on their National Day.

Earlier in the ceremony, Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev acknowledged the progress in bilateral cooperation, stating that Russia remains committed to supporting Pakistan on global platforms. He mentioned active collaboration in education, diplomacy, and mutual development.
