The Government of Pakistan has officially revised fuel prices, effective from June 16, 2025, following the latest recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). Both petrol and diesel prices have been increased as part of the government’s routine fortnightly price review.
According to the new pricing:
- Petrol is now priced at Rs. 258.43 per liter, reflecting an increase of Rs. 4.80 from the previous rate of Rs. 253.63.
- High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has jumped to Rs. 262.59 per liter, marking a Rs. 7.95 rise from the earlier price of Rs. 254.64.
These adjustments are aligned with fluctuations in international oil markets and shifts in local economic conditions. The government conducts these reviews twice a month to ensure pricing remains in sync with global trends and import costs.
This latest fuel hike is expected to have a ripple effect across sectors — particularly in transportation and logistics — potentially leading to increased costs for consumer goods and services.
Pulse Pakistan advises individuals, commuters, and businesses to plan accordingly, as fuel costs can significantly impact daily budgets and operations. Stay connected for the next pricing update expected at the end of June.
