President Confers Nishan-e-Imtiaz on Saudi Naval Chief

Islamabad, July 21, 2025 – President Asif Ali Zardari today awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), one of Pakistan’s highest military honors, to Vice Admiral Mohammad Bin Abdul Rehman Al-Ghoraibi, Chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, for his significant contributions to strengthening naval and defense ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The prestigious award was presented during a special investiture ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr, attended by senior Pakistan Armed Forces officers, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malki. Following the ceremony, Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi met with President Zardari to discuss further enhancement of bilateral naval cooperation.

President Zardari commended Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi for his role in fostering collaboration between the two nations’ navies, emphasizing Pakistan’s deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s support during challenging times. He highlighted the strong, brotherly ties between the two countries and expressed satisfaction with ongoing navy-to-navy engagements. The President specifically praised the Royal Saudi Naval Forces’ participation in Exercise AMAN-25 and AMAN Dialogue-25, held in February 2025, noting that such joint initiatives promote maritime cooperation and mutual understanding.

Zardari also lauded the transformative vision of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, which he said is driving Saudi Arabia toward progress and prosperity. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in Pakistan Navy’s training system and called for expanded training cooperation. The President concluded by requesting Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi to convey his warm greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to its enduring partnership with Saudi Arabia.
