KARACHI – A spine-tingling new horror film, Deemak, is gearing up to hit cinemas across Pakistan on Eid-ul-Adha 2025. Drawing from true events, the film weaves supernatural terror with deep-rooted family drama, promising a thrilling cinematic experience.
The story follows a family plagued by disturbing paranormal activity within their home. As eerie occurrences escalate, a psychological battle brews between a skeptical mother-in-law and a frightened daughter-in-law. Caught between them is a man juggling the emotional weight of being both a caring husband and a loyal son.
What begins as unexplained noises and chilling visions quickly spirals into full-blown terror, forcing the family to confront whether the haunting is truly otherworldly — or rooted in the fractures of their own relationships.
Featuring a powerhouse cast — Samina Peerzada, Javed Sheikh, Faysal Quraishi, Sonya Hussyn, Bushra Ansari, Saman Ansari, Anaya Abbas, and Aarez Abbas — Deemak promises to blend psychological tension with haunting visuals.
The film is written by Ayesha Muzaffar, directed by Rafay Rashdi, and produced by Syed Murad Ali. It will be distributed in cinemas nationwide by Mandviwalla Entertainment.
With visual effects crafted by Julia Milas and Imagin Magic, and a chilling soundscape by Sohaib Rashdi, Deemak is positioned to stand out as one of the most gripping horror films to emerge from the Pakistani film industry.
