The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed that the Zil Hajj moon was not sighted on Tuesday, June 3. As a result, the first day of Eid ul Adha will be observed on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The announcement was made by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad during a press conference in Islamabad. The committee had convened to determine the moon sighting, but no credible reports were received from major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, or Islamabad.
Holiday Schedule Approved by PM Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave his approval for the holiday schedule after the moon sighting was confirmed by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
