Islamabad: A senior Chinese defence delegation, led by Lieutenant General Wang Gang, Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), commended the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its exemplary performance against recent Indian aggression during a meeting with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The high-level discussions at Air Headquarters focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in airpower, operational synergy, and regional security dynamics. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the deep-rooted, trust-based relationship between Pakistan and China, underpinned by shared goals for regional peace and stability. He outlined PAF’s modern force structure, strategic initiatives, and evolving operational doctrine, reaffirming PAF’s commitment to expanding collaboration with PLAAF in training, technology, and operations.
Lieutenant General Wang Gang praised PAF’s operational readiness and advanced multi-domain capabilities, describing them as a benchmark for modern air warfare. He specifically lauded PAF’s decisive and disciplined response to Indian aggression, highlighting the precision and courage displayed by PAF pilots under Sidhu’s leadership as a model of strategic excellence. The PLAAF expressed keen interest in learning from PAF’s battle-tested expertise in multi-domain operations.
