Pakistan’s top-order duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have climbed the latest ICC ODI Rankings, earning notable boosts after playing key roles in Pakistan’s dominant 3–0 series sweep against Sri Lanka.
Batting Rankings See Major Shifts
Babar moved up one place to sixth with 722 rating points, reaffirming his position among the world’s elite ODI batters. Salman Ali Agha held firm at 16th, while Rizwan enjoyed one of the week’s biggest gains, leaping five spots to 22nd following a string of consistent performances. Fakhar Zaman also pushed upward, rising to 26th after gaining five positions.
Several other Pakistani batters, however, experienced setbacks. Saim Ayub slipped to 38th after dropping three spots, while Imam-ul-Haq endured a significant fall of seven places, landing at 54th with 516 points.
Daryl Mitchell Overtakes Rohit Sharma
In a major reshuffle at the top, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell replaced India’s Rohit Sharma as the world’s No. 1 ODI batter. Sharma now holds second place, followed by Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran in third. India’s Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli round out the top five.

Abrar Breaks Into Top 10 Bowlers
Pakistan’s bowling contingent also saw dramatic movements. Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed surged 11 places to break into the top 10, taking ninth position with 624 points. Captain Shaheen Afridi dropped to 21st, while Haris Rauf climbed five places to 23rd. Naseem Shah fell to 36th, whereas Mohammad Wasim Jr made an impressive leap of 20 spots to 64th. Spinner Mohammad Nawaz slipped to 71st.
At the top of the bowling standings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues his reign as the No. 1 ODI bowler, with England’s Jofra Archer in second and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj in third.
