Anmol Pinky Shocking Remand Case Sparks Major Karachi Court Drama 2026

Anmol Pinky Remand Extended in Karachi Murder Case

KARACHI: Alleged drug network operator Anmol Pinky was granted another four-day physical remand on Monday after appearing before a judicial magistrate in Karachi, where she claimed investigators were pressuring her to implicate politicians, actresses, and other influential personalities in ongoing criminal probes.

The hearing took place at the Judicial Complex inside Central Prison Karachi amid heightened security and intense media attention. The accused, also known as Pinky, has become the focus of multiple investigations involving narcotics, illegal weapons, and murder allegations.

Table of Allegations Deepens Around Anmol Pinky

According to court proceedings, Anmol Pinky told the magistrate that several investigating officers had subjected her to mistreatment and coercion during custody. She alleged that officials wanted her to “take names” linked to an alleged criminal network operating in Karachi.

Her legal counsel informed the court that the complainant in the murder case was not a blood relative of the deceased and argued that pressure was allegedly being applied to obtain statements against public figures.

The magistrate directed investigators to ensure that any questioning of the accused be conducted in the presence of female police personnel. The court also sought a medical examination report after concerns were raised over alleged torture claims.

Court Questions Delay in Medical Examination

During the hearing, the judge questioned police officials about why a previously ordered medical examination had not yet been carried out.

Defence lawyer Liaquat Gabol maintained that his client was being forced to record statements under duress. Speaking outside the courtroom later, he repeated claims that investigators wanted the women to implicate politicians and other influential individuals.

The courtroom briefly descended into chaos as the accused attempted to address reporters directly before authorities restricted access to the hearing.

Police Cite Ongoing Investigation Needs

Prosecutors argued that further custody was necessary because forensic analysis of the narcotics allegedly recovered from the accused had not yet been completed. Investigators also told the court they needed additional time to examine the broader network allegedly connected to the case.

Police had requested a nine-day extension in physical remand, but the magistrate approved custody only until May 22.

Investigators additionally informed the court that they possessed audio recordings allegedly linking the accused to drug-related activities. However, the accused dismissed the recordings as artificially generated content.

The court also approved a request to record the complainant’s statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, with proceedings scheduled for May 21.

CTD Moves Toward Separate Arrest Proceedings

In a parallel development, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) initiated steps to arrest Anmol Pinky in connection with another pending case.

Court documents submitted by CTD officials stated that her arrest was required in a separate matter in which her brother had already been acquitted while she remained absconding.

Meanwhile, a sessions court rejected a police review plea concerning judicial remand orders in five additional cases linked to the accused.

The latest developments further intensify the legal troubles surrounding Anmol Pinky, who is already facing numerous criminal cases in Karachi.

Authorities continue investigating allegations connected to narcotics trafficking, illegal weapons possession, and organised criminal activity. The case has attracted nationwide attention due to accusations involving influential figures and claims of coercion during custody.

Legal experts say the coming court hearings and forensic reports could significantly shape the direction of the investigation in the coming days.
