The arrest took place at the Spitfire County Cricket Ground in Kent, where Ali was detained by Kent Police before being transported to Canterbury Police Station for further questioning.
While the investigation continues, Ali’s bail has been extended by two weeks, with the police confirming that the victim is being supported throughout the process. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also issued a statement, announcing that Ali has been provisionally suspended until the investigation concludes.
