The UK government has announced that applications are now open for the prestigious, fully-funded Chevening Scholarships for Pakistani professionals. These scholarships offer the opportunity to pursue a one-year master’s degree at a top British university, covering all essential expenses such as tuition, travel, visa, accommodation, and living costs.
The Chevening Scholarship program, widely recognized for fostering leadership and global connections, is now open for Pakistani professionals seeking to advance their careers and contribute to societal change. The UK government has invited applications from individuals with at least two years of post-graduate work experience to apply for the fully funded scholarship, which covers all major expenses related to studying abroad.
From August 5 to October 7, 2025, eligible candidates can submit their applications online. The scholarship package includes not only tuition fees but also return flights to the UK, visa expenses, accommodation, and a monthly living stipend. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for mid-career professionals to gain a world-class education while gaining access to an international network of leaders.
Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, highlighted that Chevening is not just an educational opportunity but a platform for professional growth. “Chevening offers more than just a world-class education. It provides the space to grow, the networks to connect globally, and the confidence to lead with purpose,” Marriott said, urging eligible candidates with a passion for leadership and creating positive change to apply.
The Chevening Scholarship, which was launched in 1983, has supported more than 60,000 alumni worldwide, including over 2,000 Pakistanis who have gone on to hold key roles in government, business, and civil society. The program aims to develop future leaders by exposing scholars to British academic and cultural life, thus creating long-lasting bonds between Pakistan and the UK.
The Chevening Scholarship program is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) along with its partner organizations, making it one of the most sought-after and prestigious scholarships globally.
