The ceremony also paid tribute to the military’s sacrifices during the recent armed conflict with India, specifically highlighting Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, which saw Pakistan’s military respond to Indian aggression with unprecedented force. Pakistan downed six Indian Air Force fighter jets, including three Rafales, in retaliation to India’s unprovoked attacks.

In the wake of the conflict, Pakistan launched a diplomatic offensive to counter India’s narrative. Led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, a parliamentary delegation visited the United States, the UK, and other European nations to present Pakistan’s position on the conflict. Bilawal was honored with Nishan-e-Imtiaz for his pivotal role in this diplomatic initiative.
