On Wednesday, Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mastung district, Balochistan, leading to the martyrdom of two brave soldiers, Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain, while also neutralizing three terrorists from the militant group Fitna al-Hindustan.

According to an ISPR statement, the operation was launched following intelligence reports of the presence of terrorists linked to Indian-sponsored groups in the region. During the operation, the Pakistani security forces successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in the elimination of three militants.

However, during the intense firefight, Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal, 31, from Khushab, who was leading the operation with courage and valor, embraced martyrdom. Major Awal’s sacrifice has been honored for his bravery and leadership. Alongside him, 22-year-old Sepoy Nazam Hussain from Jhelum district also paid the ultimate price for his service, dying in the line of duty.

The military’s media wing further reported that a sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorist presence in the area. The Pakistani security forces remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism, with these sacrifices reinforcing the nation’s determination to protect its borders and citizens.

The incident reflects the growing resolve of Pakistan’s military to combat terrorism, particularly from groups supported by external forces, and to maintain the security and stability of the region.
