Bullet-Ridden Bodies of Man and Woman Found Near Karachi’s China Port

The bodies of a man and a woman, both riddled with bullets, were discovered near Karachi’s China Port on Monday. Police believe the victims were shot dead, and evidence collected from the scene, including spent bullet casings, is being used to investigate the case further.

According to the police, the bullet-ridden bodies of the two victims were found near the China Port area, with initial assessments suggesting that both had been shot at close range. The Boat Basin police responded promptly to the scene, summoning the Crime Scene Unit to collect vital evidence.

Investigators found two spent bullet casings from a 9mm pistol, which could provide key clues to identifying the perpetrator(s). A mobile phone was also discovered with the male victim, which may assist in tracing the victims’ identities and their last known communications.

The deceased were later identified as being from the same village in Gujranwala. Police confirmed the victims had been shot, and the bodies were moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsies and medico-legal formalities.

This discovery follows the recent case of model and actress Humaira Asghar Ali, whose decomposed body was found in her apartment in Karachi’s Defence area. Though nearly two weeks have passed, investigators remain uncertain about the cause of her death, with chemical reports ruling out toxic substances like narcotics or poisons. The lack of definitive evidence has left both investigations shrouded in mystery.
