Delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud seeks to enhance economic cooperation between the two nations.
ISLAMABAD – A prominent Saudi Arabian business delegation, headed by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday. The delegation’s visit is aimed at strengthening economic ties and exploring new opportunities for trade and investment between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The delegation is set to meet with senior officials, including Pakistan’s leadership, government representatives, chambers of commerce, and key business groups. Their discussions will focus on boosting bilateral economic collaboration, particularly in sectors aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s growth strategy.
The visit highlights the long-standing and robust relationship between the two nations, with both sides expressing a mutual commitment to expanding their economic and investment partnerships. The discussions will particularly focus on trade facilitation, investment avenues, and how both countries can leverage their respective strengths to foster greater economic collaboration.
Prince Mansour’s visit comes on the heels of a significant security milestone: the signing of the “Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement” between Islamabad and Riyadh on September 17. This landmark agreement, which solidified the defense cooperation between the two countries, pledges that any act of aggression against one nation will be regarded as an attack on both. The strategic defense pact was signed during Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s state visit to Riyadh, underscoring the deep ties between the two countries.

Experts have hailed the defense agreement as a historic step, marking an unprecedented commitment to security and peace in the region. This agreement, experts note, elevates the bilateral relationship from a diplomatic alliance to a formal security commitment, strengthening both nations’ strategic position in the face of regional challenges.
As the Saudi delegation focuses on trade and investment opportunities, the visit is seen as an important step toward further cementing the multifaceted partnership between the two countries, covering both economic and security spheres.
