ATC Orders Imran Khan’s Appearance

The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court issued the direction during proceedings in the case involving the PTI founder and several other party leaders.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the hearing and directed authorities to ensure that Imran Khan is produced before the court at the next hearing.

According to the court order, his appearance can take place either in person or through a video link, providing an alternative if physical production is not possible.

The direction comes as the court continues proceedings in a case registered against PTI leaders in connection with the alleged attack on the Judicial Complex in Islamabad.

PTI Leaders Declared Proclaimed Offenders

During the hearing, the court also took action against several former PTI leaders who were not appearing before the court.

Former federal ministers Farrukh Habib, Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed and Shibli Faraz were declared proclaimed offenders.

The court additionally directed the relevant authorities to provide details of their properties as part of the ongoing legal proceedings.

The development marks another significant step in the case, which involves multiple PTI figures facing legal proceedings over the events surrounding the Judicial Complex.

Non-Bailable Warrants Issued

The ATC also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Wasiq Qayyum and PTI MPA Hassan Khan Niazi.

The warrants were issued as the court continued to address the absence of the accused persons from the proceedings.

Such warrants authorize authorities to arrest and produce the named individuals before the court, subject to the applicable legal process.

The court’s latest directions cover both the production of the PTI founder and further proceedings against other accused individuals in the case.

Case Adjourned Until November 5

After issuing the directives, the Islamabad ATC adjourned further proceedings until November 5.

The Judicial Complex attack case was registered at Ramna Police Station and involves allegations related to incidents surrounding the Judicial Complex in Islamabad.

The next hearing is expected to determine the progress of proceedings against the accused and whether the court’s latest orders regarding appearances, warrants and property details have been complied with.

The court’s direction for Imran Khan’s appearance, either physically or through video link, will therefore remain a key development ahead of the November 5 hearing.See More on Pulse Pakistan
