ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar will visit Beijing on January 4, 2026, to co-chair the seventh Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, the Foreign Office announced Wednesday.
The dialogue, held at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi—who also serves on the Communist Party’s Politburo and heads the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs—represents the highest-level consultative mechanism between the two nations. It provides a formal forum to review bilateral cooperation across political, economic, and regional issues.
75 Years of Diplomatic Ties
During the meeting, both foreign ministers are expected to unveil a series of initiatives and commemorative activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, which will be observed throughout 2026.
The strategic dialogue reflects the regular high-level exchanges that reinforce the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, emphasizing shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
The Foreign Office highlighted that the talks will cover the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation while addressing regional and international matters of mutual interest, underlining the deep-rooted collaboration between Islamabad and Beijing.
