Sumeera Rajput, a popular TikTok content creator from Ghotki, Sindh, has been found dead in her home under mysterious circumstances. According to her 15-year-old daughter, Rajput was poisoned by individuals who had been pressuring her to marry forcibly. The authorities are investigating the case, which raises concerns about the safety of female social media influencers.

According to District Police Officer Anwar Shaikh, Rajput’s 15-year-old daughter has accused certain individuals of poisoning her mother. The daughter claims that these individuals had been exerting pressure on Sumeera to marry against her will. The teenager alleges that her mother was given poisonous tablets, leading to her untimely death.
Following the discovery of Rajput’s body, it was transported to a local hospital for a post-mortem examination. While the initial report revealed no signs of physical violence, the medical team has sent samples to a laboratory to determine the exact cause of death. The police have taken two individuals into custody based on suspicion, and an investigation is ongoing. However, no formal first information report (FIR) has been registered yet.
The tragic incident adds to the rising concerns regarding the safety of female social media influencers, especially TikTok content creators. Last month, 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf was shot dead in her home in Islamabad, further highlighting the vulnerability of young women in the digital space.
The police are continuing to follow multiple leads in the investigation, with authorities focusing on whether foul play was involved in Rajput’s death. The incident has raised alarm over the safety of content creators in Pakistan, particularly women who are active on social media platforms.
