Imran Khan Treatment: Barrister Gohar Calls for Restraint
Imran Khan treatment should not become a political issue, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said, urging the government, establishment and all other stakeholders to allow the latest court decision concerning the PTI founder to be implemented without obstruction.
Speaking to journalists, Barrister Gohar said the government had filed an appeal before the Supreme Court against the relevant decision, although the appeal had not yet been assigned a number. He expressed hope that the judicial order would ultimately be implemented.
The PTI chairman also appealed to party supporters and social media activists to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could potentially affect the legal process or create difficulties for the implementation of the decision.
Barrister Gohar Calls for Restraint
Barrister Gohar emphasized that the central concern for PTI at this stage is the health and medical care of Imran Khan rather than political confrontation.
He said there should be no politics surrounding the former prime minister’s treatment and urged the government and relevant authorities to allow the court’s decision to take effect.
The remarks come amid continued legal and political disputes surrounding Imran Khan’s detention, access to medical care and visitation rights. PTI has previously approached the Supreme Court over access to the party founder by family members, doctors and lawyers.
Government Appeal Awaiting Number
According to Barrister Gohar, the government has challenged the decision in the Supreme Court, but the appeal had not received a case number at the time of his comments.

He also urged the party’s online supporters not to engage in activities that could undermine the legal process. Barrister Gohar further explained that Imran Khan’s position is to remain in hospital only for as long as necessary for medical treatment and related healthcare requirements.
He said PTI had made considerable efforts to reach an arrangement concerning the former prime minister’s treatment and stressed that the matter should now be handled with seriousness and flexibility.
The issue of Imran Khan’s medical care has remained politically sensitive. In August, Barrister Gohar also rejected reports that Imran Khan had been hospitalized in jail, saying at the time that reports about his alleged illness were incorrect.
Gohar Urges All Sides to Show Flexibility
Barrister Gohar appealed to all parties to “have a big heart,” arguing that the government should not view the situation as a political threat because PTI had provided the necessary undertakings.
He also said Imran Khan had expressed appreciation for those who played a role in facilitating a meeting with him the previous day.
