Indian terrorists killed in DI Khan during an intelligence-based operation carried out by Pakistan’s security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Monday, reaffirming the state’s resolve to eliminate foreign-sponsored militancy.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the operation was conducted on February 23 in Dera Ismail Khan following confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of militants affiliated with Indian proxy network Fitna al Khwarij.
ISPR Statement on the Encounter
The ISPR said security forces moved swiftly on the identified hideout and engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire. As a result of the operation, four Indian-sponsored militants were neutralised.
The military stated that the killed terrorists were actively involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region, targeting both civilians and law enforcement personnel.
Weapons Recovery and Area Clearance
During the operation, troops recovered weapons and ammunition from the slain militants, indicating their operational preparedness. Following the successful engagement, a comprehensive sanitisation operation was launched to ensure that no additional terrorists remained in the area.
The ISPR stressed that such clearance operations are a critical component of counter-terror efforts, preventing regrouping and future attacks.
Parallel Operation in Balochistan
Earlier in the day, security forces carried out another intelligence-based operation in Pishin, resulting in the killing of five militants during an intense firefight.
The military said troops encountered a fully armed terrorist formation, triggering a prolonged exchange of fire. During the clash, one suicide bomber detonated himself, while four other Indian-sponsored terrorists were subsequently eliminated.

Explosives, weapons, and ammunition were also seized from the site, with officials confirming the militants’ involvement in numerous terrorist activities.

In response to recent suicide attacks, Pakistan last week conducted precision strikes against terrorist hideouts in Nangarhar, Paktika, and Khost, targeting Fitna al Khwarij and Daesh-Khorasan elements.
