Hajj flights Pakistan are set to begin on April 18, marking the start of a large-scale operation to transport thousands of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage.
Hajj Flights Pakistan Begin
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the pre-Hajj flight operation will continue until May 21. The initiative is part of the government’s official Hajj scheme for 2026, aimed at facilitating pilgrims traveling to the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah.
On the first day, four flights are scheduled to depart for Madinah, launching the initial phase of the operation.
Flight Schedule and Departure Cities
Flights will operate from multiple cities across Pakistan, ensuring accessibility for pilgrims nationwide. Key departure points include:
- Karachi
- Lahore
- Sialkot
- Multan
In total, eight cities will be part of the Hajj operation. Islamabad will handle the highest number of flights at 129, followed by Karachi with 124 and Lahore with 104.
Other cities include:
- Quetta – 18 flights
- Faisalabad – 23 flights
- Sukkur – 5 flights
Airlines and Operations Details
A total of 468 flights will be operated under the government scheme. Several airlines are participating in the operation, including:
- Pakistan International Airlines
- Airblue
- Air Sial
- Saudia
During the first 15 days, all flights will land exclusively in Madinah, with 186 flights scheduled for the city. Flights to Jeddah will begin from May 4, with a total of 282 flights planned for Jeddah.

Pilgrim Distribution and Numbers
Under the official scheme, approximately 119,000 pilgrims from Pakistan will perform Hajj this year.
The breakdown includes:
- 67,230 male pilgrims
- 51,846 female pilgrims
These pilgrims will be transported to both Madinah and Makkah as part of a coordinated effort by the government.
Facilities and Information Access
Authorities have advised pilgrims to stay updated about their travel schedules through the official “Pak Hajj Mobile” application. Detailed flight information is also available on the ministry’s website to ensure smooth coordination and timely departures.
With preparations in full swing, the Hajj operation reflects Pakistan’s extensive logistical planning to support one of the largest annual religious gatherings in the world.
